Yihaaaaaaaaaaa first release for FatCat is out in a few tapes, ehm days, and we will have them on the road and it's a cassette called Charade EP. Side A has two new songs and Side B is only old cinematic "hits". Get it!?

Just happy to say that FatCat Records will be our new house. It's nice to be in a house I seem to already know having been a fan for so many years of their work. It feels cozy. I can't wait to share everything we recorded in old Michigan Ave with my friends Paul and Jacopo. In the meanwhile here is one of my fav songs, Machines. It's quite a personal song. It's basically about the sense of apathy, sort of a numbness to what's
going on outside, kind of really waiting to reach the limit before doing
anything about ones situation. That old "feeling too much part
of a mechanism and not being able to shake". Also a bit about Detroit where I recorded it with this guy called Chris Koltay. Who is our daddy and friend and best pal. We will have a limited cassette EP for the upcoming dates, it's gonna be called Charade. More news on that soon.

Our first band trip to New York and Austin. Wow. Was great to make new friends and hang out with old ones. We will be back soon. The road was good to us, almost too kind. We wrote some words in the italian language for the great blog Polaroid. You can read them here or you can just look at the photo shots.
I first heard this El Perro Del Mar song a lonely night in the summer of 2006. I was lost and did not want to explain things to anyone. I dreamt about covering this song for years until I started His Clancyness and have used it to open shows always ever since. It has some of the simplest lyrics I've ever heard, also some of the deepest. Four lines, that's all you need to explain.
